Fast Raman Images
The advanced optical technology and powerful software on the LabRAM ARAMIS provides access to faster and more detailed chemical images. Whilst not every sample is an efficient Raman scatterer the ARAMIS ensures that samples such as pharmaceuticals, minerals, polymers and semiconductors can routinely be mapped using fast point acquisitions.
Sensitivity and Confocality at it's best - true confocal operation and specialized optical and detection systems provide unsurpassed sensitivIty whilst maintaining the optimal confocal performance:
Silicon
has long been used as a benchmark for Raman sensitivity. The 4th order
band is very weak and difficult to observe. The LabRAM ARAMIS is not only
capable of measuring the 4th order band with good
S:N, but it can do this still fully confocally.
Older instruments with lower sensitivity than that of the LabRAM series will have only Pseudo confocal performance at best and will have strong interference from O2 and N2 bands in air. With the ARAMIS, the confocal performance removes these interference bands almost entirely - demonstrating that both confocality and sensitivity are in fact a reality and both ARE possible.
Automated Notch Filter Selection - the motorized notch filter selector enables 4 laser wavelengths to be changed with speed and expands fast multi-wavelength operation into a new dimension - no limits or restrictions.
Spectra with 532nm, and 785nm excitation taken within seconds of
each other upon the automated LabRAM ARAMIS.
With this multi-wavelength functionality it is possible to screen samples with various laser wavelengths faster and more efficiently than ever before.
Automated QUAD Grating Turret - the new 4 position QUAD grating turret not only selects the most efficient grating for the spectral range (from UV to NIR), it also enables spectral resolution to be selected to achieve a desired spectral band separation.

Spectral resolution, Sensitivity and speed of acquisition can be optimized for each sample.
